Instead of buying an aircraft, operating leasing gives aircraft operators the possibility to adapt aircraft fleet size according to market changes, business opportunities and market demand.

Due to costly aircraft acquisitions, the financing complexities and the airlines’ demand for fleet flexibility, the role of operating lessors has expanded significantly over the last 20 years. Moreover, aircraft leasing and the operating lease model have grown over the past three decades because of the advantages of splitting the risks and rewards of aircraft ownership from the risks and rewards of aircraft operation.
